The weather over the past few days in East England has been a bit disappointing for July! However, in this case every cloud does have a silver lining…and orange, pink and purple!

Le Tour

The third stage of this year's Tour de France came through Cambridge.  We claimed a spot outside St John's College and waited - patiently - for the riders to come past.  It is quite narrow there so they couldn't go too fast, even so it was over in a flash!

Always lovely to see the bees in the garden.

Our go-to local walk is a couple of miles of meadows and woodland in our village and despite walking there often we normally find something new to photograph.  Today the cow parsley in the woodland has finished but the thistles are high and the wheat field is ripening.  There were a couple of butterflies and the nettles were covered in places by Peacock caterpillars.
